Larsmont Community Club Annual Board Meeting notes, May
17, 2022, 7 p.m.
Attendees: Bill & Helen Tranah, Karen & Bill
Hermanson, Paul Hayden, Jon & Kay Anderson, Roger
& Shirley Martinson, Lana Buss with children Henry
and Willa, JoAnn Rossetter, Margaret Larson, Rock
Madsen, Marlys Wisch.
President Tranah opened the meeting at 7 p.m.
Secretary’s report: M/S/C to approve as written.
Treasurer’s report: M/S/C to approve as submitted.
2022 Larsmont Community Club Annual Meeting
New Business:
M/S/C to approve having D.A.C. mow our lawn.
New and Ongoing projects:
M/S/C to approve two people at $100 each to clean inside
schoolhouse.
Bill Hermanson/Bill Tranah did an assessment of
buildings and grounds –
Large projects:
• Skirting around schoolhouse is rotting away, needs
replacement
Trim boards need replacing and/or painting
• Toilet – pine walls need repair and varnishing, Mark
Kreutter will be contacted.
• Garage needs painting, the gables and eaves.
• Propane tank needs either painting or some artful
construction around it.
Landscaping? Bell area – stand needs painting, signs
need spruce up.
At this time, determined, painting the red walls of
schoolhouse not needed.
Project’s Day projects:
Brushing by garage,
Brushing along the ditch by highway,
Pruning garden areas,
Possibly painting small areas at ground level.
We will be getting estimates for: replacing skirting,
painting garage, repairing or re-varnishing inside of
toilet. Christy Rounds, Jeremy Escola and Alex Myers are
suggested for the different tasks.
Project’s Day is set for Saturday, June 9th, backup date
is June 13th. Lunch and beverages will be provided.
Please dress appropriately and bring your own tools.
Martinson’s have a trailer to haul brush.
Annual Fun/Picnic Day: set for August 27th, 11 a.m. to 2
p.m. We will cater food through Mocha Moose and The
Larsmont Trading Post. Ask for dessert donations from
attendees. We will have a silent auction.
Other Business, suggestions:
Community Rummage sale (new): set for June 25th,
community wide, each household will manage their setup,
table and take down, during the one-day event. LCC will
design signs, do news ads. Will get this on our website.
Educational events: have presenters, such as geologists,
pollinator experts, master gardeners, astronomy,
woodworking creations, parent/child sessions, nurse
practitioner, improv theater and more. Lana Buss will
take the lead on organizing these sessions. LCC will do
ads, flyers. Will get this on our website once
scheduled.
Game Night: have regular bingo nights, card game nights,
chess, for all ages. Rock Madsen will take the lead on
organizing these. LCC will do ads, flyers, get on our
website. Approval given for Marlys to buy the bingo
equipment.
Election of Officers: M/S/C to nominate, elect, accept
the slate of current officers: President –- Bill Tranah;
Vice President – Margaret Glass; Secretary/Treasurer –
Marlys Wisch; Grounds Keeper – Bill Hermanson; Flag
Tender – Bill Hermanson; Editor in Chief – Paul Hayden.
